Cast Iron Tortilla Press

Even the hungriest family can fill up on home-made tortillas with this surprisingly simple, authentic Tortilla Press. Made of heavy cast iron, the weight and design of the tortilla press makes perfectly thin tortillas easily and quickly. Place a ball of dough between plastic wrap (or cut 3 sides out of a large Ziploc bag) to keep the dough from sticking to the press. The oversized handle allows you to flatten the tortilla with one quick press. Flip the shell in to your fry pan and make the next one in the time it takes to cook the first one. 

Note: tortilla presses work best with corn tortillas, using corn flour (masa). Regular flour does not work well for pressing as the dough is too elastic - they are best rolled out individually with a rolling pin.
